prepared initial claims for benefits pursuant to the FECA and
supporting documentation on behalf of injured federal employees
before the OWCP. In addition I have personally prepared written
requests for reconsideration, that included supportive medical
evidence, of decisions of District Offices of the OWCP denying
claims for benefits pursuant to the FECA. I have personally
appeared before the Branch of Hearings and Review of the OWCP.
I have handled matters seeking the expansion by the OWCP of the
class of accepted medical conditions in claims for benefits pursuant
to the FECA. Further I have personally prepared Applications for
Review submitted to the Employees' Compensation Appeals Board (ECAB).
I am versed in appeal procedures applicable to decisions of the ECAB.
Applications for Disability Retirement Benefits With the OPM:
I have personally prepared applications with supporting documentation
seeking disability retirement benefits from the OPM on behalf of
federal employees. In addition I have personally prepared written
requests for reconsideration of Initial Decisions of the OPM that
had originally denied applications for disability retirement benefits.
I have practiced before the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) in
connection with appeals of Reconsideration Decisions of the OPM denying
applications for disability retirement benefits. I have personally
prepared motions seeking attorney fees submitted to the MSPB in matters
relating to applications for disability retirement benefits with the
OPM. I am versed in appeal procedures applicable to decisions of the
MSPB in matters relating to applications for disability retirement
benefits with the OPM.
